Kevin Lee Ward passed away January 15, 2014 in Taylorsville, Utah of natural causes. He was born April 14, 1957 to George L. and Alice Ward in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kevin graduated from South High School and then served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Columbus, Ohio. He worked for Ken Garff Automotive for many years. He then worked for Salt Lake Community College until health problems prevented him from continuing to work. He was recognized at the college for his dependability and customer service skills. Kevin loved the University of Utah and attended many football games He was also a big Jazz fan. Kevin had a kind heart and often thought of ways to help others. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Steven. He is survived by his siblings: Shannon (Thom) Schiffgen, Scott (Carol) Ward, Stacy (Angelia) Ward and twin brother, Kelly (Annette) Ward. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles. A special thanks to Dr. Douglas Newbold for the outstanding care and service given on Kevin's behalf. Funeral services will be Monday, January 20, 2014, 12:00 p.m. at the Crosspointe Ward, 1327 West 5550 South, Taylorsville, Utah where a viewing will be held from 10:30-11:40 a.m. prior to services. Interment and grave dedication will take place at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
