Kim, beloved by all who knew her, was born in Nagoya, Japan on 16 Oct 1932. After undergoing months of Ntl Police and OSI investigations, physical exams, and interviews, she was granted permission to marry USAF Sgt, Hal Wilson. On 31 July 1958, they were married at the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo. In 1959, they moved to Edwards AFB in CA, where Hal was newly assigned. Kim diligently studied American History & U.S. Citizenship facts, and successfully passed stringent tests on those subjects to be sworn in as a U.S. citizen. Without any formal training, she learned to read and write English, & drive. She was an avid readerreading each day's newspaper from cover-to-cover, along with a couple of books a week. She, along with her husband & three children, lived in Bermuda, Hawaii & Minnesota, before settling in Utah. While Hal served a 1-year tour of duty in Vietnam, Kim single-handily raised their children in Moses Lake, WA. Kim was a selfless & devoted mother, wife, & friend. She was an expert seamstress & created beautiful knitted & crocheted works. She was dedicated to her family & the upkeep of her household & health. Kim died peacefully on 1 June 2016. She is survived by her husband Hal, son Jeffery (Sherry) Wilson, daughter Patricia (Mike) Walkup, three grandchildren (Keegan, Alix, Chante) and sister, Tamako. She was preceded in death by her sons, David & Michael; her brother & a sister, and her favorite canine companion Snoopy. Graveside services, under direction of Mcdougal Funeral Home, will be held Mon, 6 June 2016 at 10 a.m., at the Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 17111 S. Redwood Rd., Bluffdale UT.
