Our beloved Kolette, after years of physical struggle, finally found peace on December 31, 2014, at age 59. Kolette was born December 8, 1955, the second child of Ronald George and Marquita Goodrich Gerber. She grew up in Taylorsville, Utah. At age 23 she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and has battled with this horribly debilitating disease for 36 years. All through this trial, even in her darkest moments, she kept a positive attitude, and her famous saying was, "life is good!" She spent the last eight years of her life residing in the Paramount Health and Rehabilitation facility. She loved those who cared for her and considered them her second family. From her bedside she fulfilled a calling as a missionary. As a young adult she was very vivacious and made friendships which have remained strong. Kolette was very intelligent and kept a keen mind up until her death. She was an avid reader and one of her greatest blessings was that she had sufficient eyesight to allow her to read until just before her death. She was able to work until 1994 when she needed to take medical disability from Hewlett Packard. She is survived by her parents, Ronald G. and Marquita Gerber; children: Chrisnee Rydalch (Steve), Scott and Lindsay. Grandchildren: Kyle, Scarlett, Savanna, Tera and Dagginete. Siblings: Rhonda Mitchell (Tim), Cathy Ashman (Jeff), Cary (Jana), Quinn, Camille VanWagoner (Alan), Brian (Nikie). We wish to thank the doctor, nurses and all those who have given service to her in any way. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015, 11:00 am in the Taylorsville 30th Ward Chapel, 4950 S. 1950 W., Taylorsville, Utah where friends and family are welcome to visit from 9:00-10:45 am.
