Kristin Lorraine Thomas, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away April 30, 2017. Born February 15, 1974, in Granger, Utah to Chris Scott and Ken Lambson. Kristin's childhood was filled with sports and being outdoors. She was a proud tomboy and loved running track, playing basketball, and playing tetherball at her grandparent's home. She would often be found fishing and shooting guns with her dad. She met the love of her life, Billy Thomas, at the 49th Street Galleria at the age of 14. Their relationship blossomed over the next two summers and their daughter Tasha was born May 18, 1990. Kristin and Billy parted ways for a short period of time during which Kristin married Scott Durand, and their daughter Abby Durand was born on August 31, 1993. Kristin and Billy reconnected and had their son Zachary Thomas on April 15, 2000. They were married in a beautiful ceremony on June 2, 2001. Kristin and Billy loved their home, which they called their castle. They spent countless hours working in the yard and loved to BBQ on their patio with their family. Kristin worked for Boeing Corporation for 12 years as a machinist. She was passionate about her job and loved sharing her work with everyone she knew. Billy often joked that she was his sugar mama. Kristin was most passionate about her family. She loved spending time with them, particularly during traditions such as birthdays and holidays, especially Christmas. She loved Christmas so much that she would spend months preparing to make the day special for everyone. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and would often be found playing outside with them. Kristin will be greatly missed, especially her laugh, her outgoing nature, and her drive to accomplish anything she set her mind to.
