Kyle I. Matsumura Beloved Son Kyle Inouye Matsumura, 24, of Taylorsville, Utah, passed away March 19, 2012. Kyle was born in Taylorsville, Utah on October 20, 1987, a beloved son to Les and Susan Matsumura. He graduated from Taylorville High School and received an Associates Degree from Stevens Henager College. Kyle loved sports. While growing up in Taylorsville he excelled at playing baseball. He caught as a starting catcher for several all-star teams. He played in two World Series and his team eventually won the Babe Ruth World Series. He loved traveling with his team during those years as they competed in many different cities across the country. He also loved cheering on the Yankees with his dad and talking Utah Jazz basketball with his mother. Kyle loved music and enjoyed playing his guitar, the piano, and the drums. He especially loved hanging out with so many of his friends, whether it was jammin , going out to dinner, snowboarding, playing Xbox games, bowling, watching sporting events, playing board games, or just having some good laughs. Because of Kyle s kindness, thoughtfulness, and his fun sense of humor, he always made friends easily. Friends, as well as family, were an important part of his life. Kyle was employed at Overstock.com in the fraud department. He was highly respected by his co-workers and Kyle enjoyed his association with everyone there. Kyle is survived by his parents, Les and Susan; siblings Stacey (Bob Brown), Carrie (Brandon Phipps), Kristen (Greg Bell), Ty (Robyn) Matsumura and his Grandmother Helen Inouye. Kyle was a good uncle to his nieces Callie, Nikki, and Whitney and nephews Parker and Trevan. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints he is sealed to his family. Kyle was preceded in death by Grandparents Kunio and Shizuko Matsumura and Grandfather Yoshimi Inouye. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Rosecrest Ward Building located at 5424 W. Rosecrest Road, Herriman, Utah where viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. prior to funeral services. Interment, Herriman City Cemetery, 12495 S. Pioneer St. after the funeral services. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
