LaRae Rowe Proctor

April 13, 1936 — April 9, 2015

Our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, 78, passed away peacefully April 9, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born April 13, 1936 to Franklin D. and Edna Burnetta Terry Rowe in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. LaRae loved the gospel and served The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through several callings as well as two full time missions, one in St. Louis, Missouri and the other in Rochester, New York. She loved BYU sports, was a proud member of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and loved animals. Hard working and independent, LaRae was a wonderful light and example to family and friends alike. She has been loved and will be remembered well. We bid farewell to a light that has not been extinguished but just called home to serve elsewhere. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Garth; parents; siblings; 1 great-grandchild. LaRae is survived by 3 sons and their spouses: Kim and Tammy Proctor, Rockey and Rachel Proctor, Blake and Linda Proctor; 15 grandchildren; and many more great-grandchildren. The family would like to express great appreciation to the many wonderful people and community at Hazen Care Center for the love and thoughtful care provided to LaRae. Also a special thank you to Inspiration Hospice for all their love and concern. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where viewings will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
