Larry Gene Gates

Larry Gene Gates, our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend passed away February 15, 2017. Born February 21, 1968 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Nancy Louise Borg and Gerald Arnold Johnson. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping and riding motorcycles with his friends until his diagnosis of Ankylosing Spondylitis. He was passionate about music and his career as a truck driver, his most recent employer being Ernest Packaging where he was happily employed for over 11 years. Survived by his mother, Nancy Gates; sister Sherry (Rolfe) Titze; nieces Sierra Titze, Jordan Titze, Tiffany Johnson; and many aunts, uncles and lifelong friends. Larry is preceded in death by his father, Gerald Arnold Johnson; brother, Danny Gerald Johnson; and grandmother, Ruth Afton Monsen. Gathering of friends and family will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2017 ,1:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
