Larry Legrand Colby

Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend Larry LeGrand Colby passed away February 22, 2016 at the age of 82. Larry was born the second of six children to Walter and Georgia Iola Colby on November 26, 1933 in Manti, Utah. Later joining the U.S. Air Force and marrying his forever love Christine Garvin on July 20, 1956; this year was to mark their 60th wedding anniversary. He later worked as a steel worker in fabrication and was blessed with five children. Larry loved to spend time at his cabin with family and friends, and found great joy in playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Iola; siblings Marcel, LaRae, and Steven. He is survived by his wife Christine; five children Don (Ilene), Gary (Tammy), Rick (Patsy), Tina (Roger), and Launa; 16 grandchildren and spouses; 25 great-grandchildren; and his brothers Doug (Joyce) and Don (Jeannice). Funeral services will be held, Saturday, February 27, 10:00 a.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd, where viewings will be held Friday February 26th, 6-8:00 p.m., and prior to services Saturday, 9-9:45 a.m. Graveside services will be held at the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery, Lava Hot Springs, Idaho.
