LaRue Atkin Williams 86, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away at home surrounded by family on December 30, 2017. Born August 4, 1931 in Milford Utah to Warren James and Lillian Tanner Atkin. Married Max Ostler Williams on July 19, 1948 in Milford Utah, and sealed for time and all eternity on March 21, 1950 in the St. George Temple. Her greatest joy in life was being a wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother. She worked at Kearns High School for 26 years. LaRue served faithfully in many positions in the LDS church, serving a church service mission from March 2005-October 2006. Her favorite calling was serving numerous years as Girls Camp Grandparents with her husband Max. She was kind and generous, accepting of all people and always serving others. Her home was "the hangout" house for all the neighborhood kids. Survived by husband Max; children, Sheryl Stewart (Larry), Bruce (Janet), Lori Munson (Kurt); daughter-in-law Vicki Patterson Williams; sister Lois Nay;13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by parents Warren and Lillian; brother Charles; sister Irene; and son Dennis Max Williams. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 5th, 12:00 noon, at the Hunter LDS Stake Center, 3737 South 5600 West, WVC, UT 84120, where a viewing will precede services from 10-11:30 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT 84120.
