LaRue Larsen Slaugh

1941 ~ 2014 LaRue Larsen Slaugh passed away November 29, 2014 in West Jordan, Utah. LaRue was born October 27, 1941, in Cleveland, Utah, to Merrill Alphonso and Kate Nelson Larsen. She married Deloy Mervin Slaugh November 24, 1966. LaRue loved her family. She was kind to a fault and was loved by everyone who met her. She enjoyed reading, gardening, taking scenic drives, the outdoors, and especially spending time with her loved ones. She was a friend, a wife, a sister, a grandmother, a great-grandmother and the best mom anyone could hope to have. She is survived by her children, Richard (Connie), David, Brenda (Travis) Sokol, Scott, and Steven; grandchildren, Heidi, Shaylie, Austin, Jaydon, and Colton: great-grandchildren, Emma and Courtney; brothers Buddy, Carl, Rodger, John, and Ted; and sisters, Fay and Merrilyn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Deloy; brother, Sheldon; and sisters, Carolyn and Berta. Funeral services will be Friday, December 5, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the Welby LDS 8th Ward, 8385 South 4800 West, West Jordan. A viewing will be Thursday, December 4, 2014, 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville and Friday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
