Laura Kay Ashley

Born August 10, 1946. Laura left us on March 12, 2016 to join our Heavenly Father. Laura was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Russell and Jean (Eads) Ashley. She was the second child of twelve children growing up in Kearns, Utah, graduating from Granger High School in 1964, going on to college to earn her degree in Business Finance/Accounting. Laura's career was with L3 Communications, retiring after 30 years of service. Laura never married, choosing to be independently owned and operated. Laura had a passion and talent for painting. She was always painting sceneries for family members as well as friends and co-workers. Her home displayed many of her paintings. Laura is survived by brothers, Ken (Shelly), Russell (Wendy), John (Clarise) and Wendell; sisters, Donna Warr, Diane (Tim) Scott, Wendy-Christine Rich, Dorothy Orr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Jean Ashley; sister Darlene; and brothers, Dwayne and Garry Ashley. She will be greatly missed by all family and friends. As per her wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family recommends donations to The American Heart Association or the Diabetes Foundation.
