Laura LaRae Jones Davis

Laura LaRae Jones Davis 2/7/1923 ~ 1/27/2012 Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Laura LaRae Jones Davis, age 88, passed away on January 27, 2012 at CareSource The Residence. Born in Heber, Utah, she was the daughter of Donald and Lillie Sulser Jones. She married Lennox Davis on March 14, 1944 and was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on March 8, 1986. Graduated from Wasatch High School. Worked at Educators Mutual. Loved music and volunteered for the Utah Symphony after she retired. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many callings and as a temple worker in the Jordan River Temple. Loved crocheting and doing embroidery. Survived by her four children: Rex Lennox Davis of Am. Fork; Ray (Geri) Davis of W. Jordan; Holly (Randy) Rogers of Magna; Miralee (Bill) Kelsey of Saratoga Springs; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband; 3 brothers; 1 sister. The family would like to thank Golden Living & Legacy House, where she loved being near the Temple, and to the wonderful people and staff of CareSource The Residence who have been so kind and helpful. Funeral services will be Monday, January 30, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where viewings will be Sunday, 6-8 p.m. and Monday, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
