LaVee Bawden Cannon 1929 ~ 2013 LaVee was born to William Orson and Mary Ellen "Nellie" Barker Bawden October 11, 1929. She married her high school sweetheart, Dean Cannon, April 6, 1947 in Elko, Nevada; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She was the family peacemaker. She had a beautiful voice and liked to sing. She was very artistic doing ceramics, winning many ribbons at the fairs. She enjoyed bowling with the Granger Lady Lions organization. She played the piano by ear and was a gifted poet. She was a worker in the Jordan River Temple. She enjoyed life and her family even as her health and eyesight was failing. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years; daughters Kathy (Rulon) Swensen, Connie Harton, Deanne (Guy) Knudsen, Jodi (Roger) Livingston; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings; daughter Gloria; son-in-law, Steven Harton; "adopted" British daughter Jackie Holbein. Our family would like to thank Brighton Hospice for the compassionate service given to Mom, especially Megan and Janet. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 9, 2013, 12:00 noon at the Granger Ward, 3835 South 2850 West, where viewings will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
