Lake Shore, UT- LaVern Larsen, age 84 of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on March 27, 2021.
LaVern was a very giving woman and cherished and loved her family. LaVern had many difficulties in life but she always was able to overcome them. For the most part she was a stay at home mom and took care of her four children. She loved to go fishing and camping with her family, she cussed like a sailor, and made the best chocolate oatmeal cookies. She loved to go and take her grandchildren shopping. She loved her grandchildren and always showed them how special they were to her. We will all miss her terribly.
Survived by her two children, Beverly (Ty) Larsen, Dennis (Victoria) Curtis; her grandchildren, Jamie Griggs, Jessica Griggs Poole,Tyler (Kendall) Wright; her one and only great-grandson Jaxson Griggs who she loved very much; her nieces; and nephews; as well her many friends at her senior living center that she always talked about.
She is preceded in death by her 2 children Lisa Wright, Steve Curtis; her first husband, Richard Curtis; her second husband, Rex Larsen; her parents, Vanetta Betts and Ivan Argyle; her grandchild Diea Danielle Griggs; her sister Lillian Irick; her brothers, Howard Argyle, Jack Argyle, and Reed Argyle.
We want to thank Inspiration Hospice and her nurse Jessica for their support and making mom comfortable her last few days.
In lieu of flowers please go out and buy yourself something nice, grandma would love that.
