LaVon Argyle DeLisis

LaVon A. DeLisis 1912 ~ 2012 LaVon Argyle DeLisis, age 100, died July 17, 2012 in South Jordan, Utah. Born June 11, 1912 in Bountiful, Utah, daughter of Ben Hoyroyd and Ida May Hogan Argyle. Married Robert Blair; later divorced. Married Leonard DeLisis Sr. September 7, 1947. Member of the LDS Church. LaVon was a very strong, independent and adventurous woman. She never complained and would never give in to pain. She loved playing bingo and all kinds of games, going to Wendover, and especially CHOCOLATE!!! Survived by sons, LaMar Blair and Leonard DeLisis Jr.; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Leonard DeLisis Sr.; daughters, Joyce Calcagno and Shirley Blair; and sons, Leon Blair and Virgil Blair. LaVon was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 21, 2012, 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where viewings will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
