Lawrence Lloyd Larney Our loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Lawrence Lloyd, passed away peacefully August 16, 2013. Born April 14, 1945 in Salt lake City to Clarence and Wanda Lloyd. Married Patricia Ann Shipp on April 8, 1977 in Elko, Nevada. He was a mechanic at Colt Trucking for over 20 years until they went out of business and he retired from UTA in 2010. Dad worked hard all his life and took pride in a job well done. He could fix anything and enjoyed working on his old cars in his free time. He loved to travel, enjoyed many road trips with his sister, and weekend trips to Wendover. He was a devoted family man and a loyal friend who offered great advice, shared his wisdom, and witty sense of humor. Survived by his children: Tammy (Rob) Schreiner, Lawrence (Kelley) Lloyd, Tara Dance; granddaughters: Mikyla and Kaylee Dance; sister, Lois Watson; brother, Leon (Carol) Lloyd and a large extended family and many friends. Preceded in death by his wife; parents; and brother, Ronald. The family would like to express their gratitude to a special friend, Belen Ottesen, for her love and support; and to Wade and the staff of CareSource for their compassion and care. Graveside servicess will be Friday, August 23, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Salt Lake City Cemetery 4th Avenue and N Street.
