Lea Vigil

Lea Mary Vigil, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully, surrounded by her son, granddaughter, sister, and niece. She was born in Durango, Colorado and adopted by Esequiel (Jake) and Mae Read. Lea grew up in a warm and loving home surrounded by her siblings, cousins, aunts, and uncles. She graduated from Bingham High School in 1962. Shortly after that she met and married the love of her life, Jerry L Vigil, on June 8, 1963. Together they started their life and family in West Jordan. Lea dedicated part of her life to caring for others as a nurse's aide at Holy Cross Hospital (downtown). After retiring she focused on raising her family.

She is survived by her son Terry Vigil; granddaughter Myranda L Vigil; sister Nancy Jones; niece Sherry Jones; and many siblings, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by Jerry L Vigil; son Kenneth P Vigil, parents Jake and Mae Read. A special thank you to Sherry Jones and Tawnya Blas for their help and kindness with Lea's care.

She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

Lea requested no services and to be cremated. The family will have a celebration of her and Jerry Vigil's lives sometime in May. The details will be announced at a later date.
