Lemoine Christian Christensen passed away on April 20, 2016, at his home in West Valley City, Utah, after bravely enduring the painful effects of an aggressive cancer tumor. Lemoine was born to Alvin Niels Christensen and Engla Hess Thomsen on March 21, 1951, in Great Falls, Montana. He was raised on a large dairy ranch in the unique and beautiful Sun River Valley, surrounded by siblings (Leroy, Bonita, Neva), uncles, aunts, cousins, abundant and close friends and classmates (Simms High '69), a church community and Square Butte. Motorcycles, freight trains, and vintage cars carried Lemoine through thousands of miles of Montana's scenery. As a young adult, Lemoine attended the Helena Vocational Technical College for three-and-half years where he excelled in welding, machine shop, and building trades studies. He served in the LDS California Central Mission from 1971-1973. Lemoine married Barbara Jean Harvey in the Salt Lake Temple on October 7, 1977. Lemoine and Barbara have four children, Ian, Malia Shaw (Scott), Isaac, and Annie, and three grandchildren, Willow Christensen and Ryan (deceased) and Corban Shaw. An inventor and a builder with a talented eye for proportion, Lemoine's boot dryers, insulator lamps, treehouses, outbuildings, fences, porch swings, room remodels, and practical improvements for scores of processes are examples of his gifts for making life easier, safer, more beautiful and delightful. For many years, Dad supported his family working as a repairman and maintenance man at a large apartment complex where his ready smile, work ethic, and "bucket bike" earned him the affection of many residents. Lemoine's faith informed all areas of his life. He enjoyed a variety of assignments as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved conducting his ward choir, home teaching, working with youth, and participating in service projects. He shared the gospel instinctively and genuinely. Dad loved his dog, "Doughboy." He also loved reunionsand what reunions he's surely enjoying now! "It is well with my soul."
