Lenard DeVon Willden

October 21, 1929 — June 8, 2016

Born October 21, 1929 in Scipio, UT, to Ausmond & Lutella Willden. He was the 4th of 7 children, died June 8, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lenard married Betsy Ann East in the Manti Temple September 16, 1949. They were blessed with 4 children: Neil DeVon, Jerelyn, Kendall Edward, and Kenneth Lynn. Lenard was known for being a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, brother and uncle. He lived each day being the best he could and making memories that will last forever, which he instilled in his family. Lenard worked for Christensen Diamond Products for over 30 years, where he was in charge of setting up satellite plants all over the world. Not only was he an exceptional employee, he was an exceptional storyteller. Lenard was most happy when visiting, camping, hunting, fishing or going on trips with family and friends. Reunions were very important to Lenard and he left orders for the annual family reunion to continue for years to come. Our hearts are heavy as we say good-bye, but angel hearts are happy as the hugs and welcomes begin from wife Betsy; son Kendall; daughter Jerelyn; great-grandson Boston DeVon; brothers: Austin, Keith, Byron; and sister Leola Yardley. He is survived by his sister Anna Lou Walbeck (Ray); brother LaRay Willden (Barbara); sons: Neil DeVon, Kenny (Mary Kaye); 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and life-long friend Jack Brown. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 18th, 12:00 noon at North Jordan 6th Ward, 3836 West 4100 South.
