Leo James Waters, Sr.

Leo J. Waters Sr. Big Jim Our wonderful and devoted dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, companion and brother, passed away suddenly February 22, 2013 in West Valley City, Utah. Born May 19, 1942 in Rock Springs, Wyoming, son of Mike and Ruby Williams Waters. His greatest passion in life was his family and making sure the whole family was gathered every Christmas Eve. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching his son, grandsons and great-grandchildren succeed in racing. He was employed with Reliable Waste/Waste Management for many years. He then became an iron worker and then ventured out and was proud to open his own business, J & A Auto in West Valley. Through his business he made many friends. He is survived by son Ragin Jimmy (Donna) Waters; daughters Laurie McSweeney, Cindy (Mark) Ith, Christy (Stan) Webster; loving companion, Alice Waters; 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; siblings Jack, Denise, DelRae and Judy. Preceded in death by grandson James #17; parents Mike and Ruby; sister, Janice; brother Richard; his children s mother Jeanille. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 1, 2013, 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where viewings will be held Thursday, 6-8 p.m. and Friday, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Francis City Cemetery.
