Leo Wilfred Cisneros, age 82, passed away April 16, 2016, in Taylorsville, Utah. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family after a year-long battle with cancer. He was born July 22, 1933, in Questa, New Mexico, to Francisco Balion Cisneros and Juanita Montoya Mondragon. On July 4, 1954, he married his sweetheart, Dorothy M. Serrano. Leo retired after many years from the Jordan School District where he worked as a licensed plumber. He is also a veteran of the Korean War and was proud to serve his country. His love of the outdoors was evident to anyone who knew him. He loved to hike, walk, fish, hunt, camp, spend time with family, and loved working in the yard often stating "one with nature." He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; their children, Mel (Ruthie), Gary (Melissa), Cheryl (Frank) Sicairos, and William (Jaydean); 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe Frank Cisneros of Grand Junction, Colo., and Edward D. Cisneros of Salt Lake City, Utah; and sister, Dorothy Callegos of El Paso, Texas. He was preceded in death by daughter, Teresa. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 30, at the Salt Lake Christian Center, 700 East, 4300 South, in Salt Lake City. There will be no viewing.
