LeRoy C. Herron passed away on September 13, 2016 in Bountiful, Utah. He was born in Magna, Utah to Roy J. Herron and Grace Kirk Herron on July 8, 1928. LeRoy loved the outdoors and spent most of his life hunting, fishing and trapping. LeRoy was a beautiful painter and would paint places he had been, and many wild life scenes. He took 2nd place with one of his paintings at the State Fair. He had a sense of humor and was always making you laugh, right up to the end. He retired from Kennecott as a machinist. He is going to be missed. He is survived by four sons and one daughter: Kayleen Stevenson, Steven Herron, David Herron, Richard Herron, and Kelly (Valerie) Herron; 13 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Kelly and Valerie would like to thank Bonnie with Elevation Hospice and his CNA, Morgan, for the many hours and love they gave to LeRoy. He loved his "girls", including all the nurses at Life Care. LeRoy's main care giver for the last 4 years was his daughter-in-law, Valerie Herron. They were able to make some great memories. She has sat by his side for the past week. Her husband, Kelly, wants her to know how much he appreciated the special love and compassion she has shown to LeRoy the past 4 years.
