Lillian Meredith Our Loving Mom Lillian Marcel Egli Meredith passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday, March 10, 2012. She was born August 23, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joseph and Elisabeth Egli. She waited patiently for her missionary to return from serving in Canada and married William Douglas Meredith in the Salt Lake Temple on August 25, 1950. Together they had eight children, seven of whom they raised to adulthood. Mom was a devoted member of the LDS Church and served in a variety of callings. Her greatest joy was being at home with her family but the rigors of raising children, sending sons on missions and paying for weddings meant Mom had to work outside the home throughout her life. Her favorite employer was the LDS Church from which she retired in 1989. She is survived by her sisters Ruth Proctor and Joann Tree; brother, Ralph Egli; children: Sheila Carty, Pam Williams, Lisa Christensen, Douglas George Meredith, Russell William Meredith, Carla Drake and Matthew Eugene Meredith; 26 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren. A great family reunion was held last Saturday by those who preceded her in death including her husband, Bill; daughter Patricia; grandchildren Christopher and Danielle Williams; and great-grandchildren Kalyssa Anne Barnes and Peyton Wayne Kawika Howell. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 16, 2012, 12:00 noon at Taylorsville Gardens 1st Ward, 4252 South Bennion Road (1950 W.) where a viewing will be held , 10:30 - 11:45 a.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
