Linda Kay Harvey, age 75, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on September 11, 2022, after a four-year battle with cancer.
Born January 2, 1947, to Earl A. Thompson and Barbara Gray Thompson in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is preceded in death by both parents and brother Gary Thompson. Survived by her children Esther Harvey, Braum (Todi) Harvey; sisters Diane (Richard) Dickerson, Christine Thompson; grandson Shade Harvey and great-grandson Kaiden.
Linda was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held the position of pianist and organist over the years in various capacities, most recently with the Primary. She fulfilled a mission to West Virginia, which she loved, and attended the University of Utah to receive her degree. She worked as a commercial artist designing beautiful jewelry for most of her career. Linda loved music, art, books, dance, and flowers. She was a very kind and loving person who touched the hearts of those who met her.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Utah Cancer Specialist for working with and caring for her throughout her trial with ovarian cancer.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Decker Lake Ward, 2101 West 3100 South. West Valley City, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Sandy City Cemetery, 9000 South 700 East, Sandy, Utah.
