Linda Sue Matagi passed away July 31, 2022 peacefully in her sleep at the age of 67. Linda was born May 23, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Elmo Lamar and Arlene Judd Lance. She was the second of four children.
Linda married Moronae Fatu Matagi September 27, 1972 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together Moronae and Linda had 5 children: David (Periann) Matagi, Ammon ID, Josh Matagi, Herriman, UT, Alisha Matagi, Salt Lake City UT, Isaac (Mindee) Matagi, Murray UT, and Preston Matagi, Ammon ID.
Linda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Linda spent many hours doing genealogy and was the resource for her family when it came to family history. She was always so proud of her Irish and German Heritage.
Linda loved animals, cooking, reading and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Her cooking was legendary. Her delicious meals and desserts will be missed, but not as much as her humble, kind, and gentle heart that blessed this world for 67 years. We love you Linda Sue. You will always be with us where ever we are and your spirit will continue to bless this world through your loved ones.
Linda is survived by her husband; and children; as well as her grandchildren, Kayli, Khai, Aidan, Lucas, Wesley, Paislee and Levi. She is also survived by her siblings, Craig (Julie) Lance, Karen Phillips, and Keith (Sandi) Lance. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends and family can gather at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Monday, August 8, 2022 for a viewing from 9:00 am - 10:45 am and the funeral to follow at 11:00 am. Services can be attended virtually at: https://vimeo.com/event/2331808
