It was with great sadness that we said good-bye to Linda Ogden, 77 on October 19, 2021, following a surgery and a brief illness.
Linda was the daughter of Arnold and Erma Bailey, sister to Bob (Vernalu) Bailey and Jim (Barbara) Bailey and wife to Albert Ogden. She was aunt to 5 nieces and nephews, and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Linda graduated from South High. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Utah. Her working career was as a legal assistant. Linda made a difference in people’s lives. She was a friend who did not hold back. She loved life and lived it fully, savoring each moment. She was an accomplished writer through whose work others were enriched and entertained. She loved the out-of- doors and was an ardent environmentalist. She cared about animals and worked for their welfare. She believed in the brotherhood and sisterhood of humankind and worked to promote equality and fairness. She loved to laugh and did it with gusto. She seized the moment, dared to risk, and dared to love. She worked hard and played well. She was spiritual, but her religion was not organized or judgmental.
She brightened our lives.
Per Linda’s wishes, no memorial service will be held. A celebration of her life will be held next Spring.
