Our sweet daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend, Lindsey Elizabeth Haynes, age 15, passed away unexpectedly on October 1, 2017 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born October 19, 2001 in Fairfield, California and was currently a Sophomore at West Jordan High School. Lindsey was a bright and vibrant young woman who attracted people everywhere she went. She loved to sing, teach and speak in church. She played Lacrosse and her Lacrosse family was very important to her. She had strong leadership abilities and excelled in her education. Lindsey understood and practiced the principle of serving the One. Most importantly, Lindsey treasured family time together and was willing to work to create those special family times. She is survived by her parents, Michael and Kristine Haynes; siblings: Nicolas (Allie), Emily (Troy) Fuhriman, Alec & girlfriend Alexsys Campbell, and Julia; grandmothers, Sheryl Haynes & Jodie Rubenstein; grandfather Curtis Walz; aunts: Jill (Marianne) Haynes, Catrina Rubenstein, and Kyle Haynes; niece Ivy; and many cousins and countless friends. Preceded in death by grandfather Frank Haynes; uncle David Haynes; and niece Norah Haynes. Special thanks to Lindsey's medical team at Primary Children's Medical Center, who treated her as if she was their own. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 7th, 12:00 noon, at the West Jordan Mountain View Stake Center, 2901 West 9000 South. Viewings will be held Friday, Oct. 6th, 5-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church 10-11:30 a.m. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
