It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Logan Joshua Hansen who tragically left this earth too soon at the age of 15 on November 6, 2024, in South Jordan, Utah. Logan was born on July 28, 2009, in Sandy, Utah to Josh and Branda Hansen. Logan was his father's son in nearly every way, including his incredible sense of humor. He loved to laugh and to make others laugh which means you couldn't be upset at Logan for long because he could change your mood and bring a smile to your face. It has been said that if Logan teased you, he loved you, and there was no one he teased more than his mom (unc). He loved an inside joke and had many with family and friends, "I'm just chicken with you."
Logan had an older brother Jordan, and younger twin sisters Dakota and Jersey. Jordan was so very proud to be Logan's brother, and we know that Logan felt that same pride for Jordan and his beautiful family. Unforgettable memories were made this past summer when Jordan and Ku'uipo took Logan and his sisters camping. Logan spent the weekend teasing his sisters, target shooting, playing with his niece and nephew, and looking up to his older brother. He was especially happy when the boys won the fire-starting contest, and he enjoyed rubbing it in with his sisters. With his playful spirit and comforting nature, Logan was the kind of uncle who made every moment with LouLu and KeeSon special.
He will forever be remembered as the protective older brother to Dakota and Jersey, something we know he will continue to be from above. Logan was wise, smart, a problem solver, teacher, and friend to his twin sisters. You might catch him helping Dakota with a math problem, giving Jersey some older brother advice, teasing his cousins, or enjoying some of his favorite food like salmon, hot wings, pizza, pot pies, and most of all Ramen noodles with Siracha.
Logan can be described as both a rule follower and a rule breaker. If you ever needed help, he was your guy, and if you wanted to live in the moment, he was also your guy. Many nights he could be found hanging out with his best friends Sam, Joaquin, and Elijah. You knew they were gaming if you heard Logan shouting and trash talking for hours with his friends.
He loved the beach and swimming in the ocean. Amazing memories were made this past summer in California watching Logan freely swimming in the ocean smiling from ear to ear. A smile that his parents will never forget. Christmas was his favorite holiday. He looked forward to the parties, the smells, the decorations, and loved how his parents made it special every year. In honor of Logan, this Christmas have more parties, decorate more this year than last, and make Christmas memories that will last a lifetime.
Logan is survived by his loving parents Josh and Branda Hansen of South Jordan, Utah. Brother Jordan (Ku'uipo) Hansen, sisters Dakota and Jersey, paternal grandparents Kelly Hansen and Beverly Due, maternal grandparents Phillip David and Donnie Carter Jordan, niece LouLu, nephew KeeSon, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services to celebrate the life of Logan will be held on Saturday November 16, 2024, at 11:30AM at the Country Crossing 8th Ward Building located at 11173 S Copper Point Way, South Jordan, Utah.
