Our wonderful mother and grandmother, Lois Yorgason Johnson, passed away at home on November 10, 2017 at the age of 94. She was born on July 29, 1923 in Moroni, Utah to Orson LeRoy Yorgason and Hannah Christine Anderson Yorgason. She graduated from Moroni High School where she was the Junior Class President. In her teen years she loved dancing and when a book was written about her life, she titled it "Dancing My Way Through Sanpete". She married Ted Dewey Johnson in the Manti Temple on November 5, 1942; they were later divorced. She worked for many years as an office manager at Kearns Medical Center and Hunter Medical Center. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served faithfully in many callings. She served in Primary, Relief Society and Young Women. Her favorite callings were Stake Dance Director during her younger years and the Ward Dance Director while her children were in their teens. As an avid BYU fan, she listened to every BYU game. On game days you could always find her sitting in her favorite chair wearing her BYU sweatshirt with the radio on full blast. She was liked by all that met her because of her pleasant and positive nature. She loved visits from her nephews, Bob Yorgason and Gloyd Green and her good friend, Betty. Lois was the last survivor of her family and was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Zada Green and Helen Sanderson; and brother, Harris Yorgason. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was always the most important thing in her life. She is survived by her children: Tedd David Johnson, Marilyn (David) Knight, Julie (Gene) Christensen,; 19 grandchildren; and 62 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville 3rd Ward, 1457 W. Atherton Drive, Taylorsville. Friends and family may visit from 9:30-10:45 a.m. before the services. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Millcreek. We want to thank Michelle, her special helper, for the many hours she spent helping our mother during the last 3 years. Place of Birth:Moroni, UtahPlace of Death:Taylorsville, Utah
