Lonnie Dean Simpson Gone Hunting, my loved ones Lonnie D. Simpson, 63, passed away May 16, 2012 at the VA hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born December 4, 1948 in Roosevelt, Utah, son of Quimby Amos and Myrtle Marie Porter Simpson. Married Lanita Miller May 27, 2011, in Elko , NV. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, western movies, gambling and beer. He loved Christmas and kids. He fought in the Vietnam War and survived. He was very loved and will be missed by all. Should ve, could ve would ve...what? No beer...I m out of here!!! Survived by wife, Lanita; her son, Blake (Debbie), Zach & Willy Durtschi; his daughters, Jackie Simpson (Tracy) Russell, Morghan & Mykalla, and Cheryl Simpson. Daddy-O s daughters: Shannon (Rotten Randy) Duffin, Becky (Robbie) Jones, pretty princess Sierra & mr. music Nick; brother: Dick (Pat); sisters: Resa, Terri (Dave), sister-in-laws, Mary & Karren; best friend & brother Curt ( Chyrele) Cushing; many many nieces and nephews, all loved by him, and countless friends and buddies. Preceded in death by parents; brothers Erl & Lowell; brother-in-law Jim Holmes; Kathy Simpson. A celebration of life will be held Friday, May 25, 2012, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road.
