Lonnie Abbott Our Angel Lonnie Our loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Lonnie Lee Juco Abbott, age 41, left us far too soon, on Wednesday, December 21st, 2011 at home in West Jordan, Utah following a very courageous battle with liver cancer and failure. Her strength and determination to live life was a great example to us all. We will miss the sparkle in her eyes and her gorgeous smile. Born April 12, 1970 in San Diego, California, daughter of Ricardo Morales and Bernardina Carreon Puno Juco. Lonnie was raised in San Diego and graduated in 1988 from Mt. Carmel High School. She competed in the Miss Filipino/American Pageant in North County, and won the title of Best Talent for song and dance. On May 24, 1991, Lonnie married the love of her life, Troy Abbott, in Balboa Park, California. While Troy served in the U.S. Army in Vilseck, Germany, Lonnie worked as a personal trainer, helping many servicemen better their health. In May of 2005, the family moved to Utah. Lonnie began working as a compliance specialist for Interbank FX. Zumba became an integral part of Lonnie s life - working with children and seniors alike, as well as performing during half-time at a Utah Jazz game. That interest, and the family she created through it, kept Lonnie active for the past several years, while battling cancer. Most recently, Lonnie and her family became members of the New Pilgrim Baptist Church, where she found a personal relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ. Troy and Lonnie have three wonderful boys who survive her: Jaiden, Teiren and Treyce. She is completely devoted to them and has spent countless hours attending their school and sporting events. Troy and their boys were EVERYTHING to Lonnie. She is survived by her husband; sons; mother, Bernardina Juco; sister, Julie A. Kelly; brother, Jason & Gladys Juco; parents-in-law, Frank L. & Carolyn Abbott; and many other extended family members and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ricardo. A viewing will be held Thursday, December 29th , 5 - 8 p.m. at Sorrento Valley Chapel, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road in San Diego. Funeral services will be held at the same location on Friday, December 30th at 10:00 a.m. Interment, El Camino Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a Liver Cancer Association.
