Louis Emerson Frese passed away peacefully in his home on February 11, 2018 after a long battle with lung cancer, with his wife, Virginia by his side. Louis was born in Salt Lake City on February 21, 1969 to his loving parents James Frese and Evangeline Rebecca Vasquez Frese. He left this life surrounded by love and care. Louis graduated from Tooele High School in 1987. He attended Salt Lake Community College for a short time before starting a career in HVAC. He had various jobs, but among his favorite places of work were the University of Utah and Deer Valley Ski Resort. There he made many lifelong friends and memories. While working at the University of Utah, Louis and his coworkers, the HVAC employees, even won the million dollar lottery in 2013. Louis was truly a wonderful person. He was a great example of charity and Christ-like love. He always put others before himself, even while suffering with cancer. Louis had an adventurous and easy going personality. He was smiling whenever you saw him, and always cracking jokes. He would do nearly anything to put a smile on your face and give you a good laugh. One of Louis's favorite places was the sand dunes. He enjoyed getting away for a couple days to go four wheeling. Louis also loved spending time with his "favorite sister," whom he lovingly called Magster, along with her daughter Justice. Louis was a dedicated family man. He married Virginia Milius Frese in June of 2015. As a blended family, Louis and Virginia have 9 children. Together, the family enjoyed many camping trips, days spent fishing, movies nights, and going on adventures together. He loved his family more than anything on this earth, especially his sweetheart, Virginia, whom he called Ginger. Louis was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ina Frese and Emerson Frese, from Alta Vista Kansas, and Luis Minis and Margarita T Vasquez from Penasco New Mexico; grandson, Jaden Justice Frese; uncle Jimmy Vasquez; cousins Jose Orlando Salazar and Brogan Villalobos. Survived by his loving wife; parents; sister Maggie (Glynn) Pearson; niece Justice; children: Natasha and Mikel Frese (Samantha), Aiden Frese Wilder (Crystal), and Brandon, Emily, Kaitlin, Megan, Cami, and Ryan Keeter; as well as one grandson, Tyler Keeter; and many loved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018, 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, UT 84123, where viewings will be held on Friday, February 16th, from 6-8:00 p.m. and again prior to services from 11-11:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations have been requested for the family.
