Luanna Powers Mothershead

"Loving Mother & Wife" Luanna Powers Mothershead passed away on September 19, 2013 at Pioneer Valley Hospital. Luanna was born in Malad, Idaho on August 17, 1947 to Robert and Wilma Powers. She was the fourth of five children and their only daughter. In March 1965 she met Lloyd Dale Mothershead in Burley, Idaho. On August 19, 1966 they were married in Heyburn, Idaho and on May 21, 1976 their marriage was solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. For more than 13 years she worked at the Salt Lake City LDS Temple until she left to serve as a full-time homemaker and care giver to her family. She loved tending to her house plants and picking vegetables from her garden. She had a great passion for reading and an adoration for animals of all sizes. Luanna is survived by her husband of 47 years, Dale and her son Tyler. She is also survived by her brothers Lloyd (Karen) and Dennis (Rhonda) Powers and her sisters-in-law Karen and Jan Powers. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Dale and Gerald Powers. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 25, 12:00 noon at the LDS chapel, 8739 West 3000 South, Magna Utah, with a viewing 11-11:45 a.m prior to the funeral services.
