Lula Helen Grundvig

Lula Helen Grundvig 1927 ~ 2014 Lula Helen Grundvig wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother returned to her Heavenly Father on October 30, 2014. Mom was born on October 23, 1927 in Rolapp, Utah to Elmer Hartzell and Alberta Alta Smail. Mom married Daniel Carlos Grundvig on May 14, 1945 and was later sealed for Time and Eternity in the Manti Temple. As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served her Father in Heaven in many callings, primarily with young children. We are eternally grateful that she taught us the gospel and supported us in all our activities. She was an avid reader and made the best Halloween costumes, holiday decorations and treats. Our birthday parties were always a big hit because of the incredible animal-shaped cakes she made for us. She loved doing arts and crafts, sightseeing, and camping but especially loved being with her family. We will miss you Mom but our memories will keep us strong until we meet again. Survived by children: Alan (Jill), Daniel (Pamela), David( Lynna-caregiver), Catherine (Larry Zolman), Calvin (Lanie), Ronald and sister Rosa Lee; 25 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Daniel and her son, Michael. At mom's request, graveside services will be held for family members at Valley View Memorial Park, 4100 South 4400 West on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the LDS Church Missionary Fund or LDS Philanthropies, 1450 N.
