Lyle William Glines "Country Philosopher" Lyle William Glines passed away September 22, 2013 in Salt Lake City. He was born October 27, 1910 in Vernal, Utah to William Ernest Glines and Addie Lathona McGuire. He was the third of six children and grew up on a homestead in Neola, Utah. Lyle fulfilled an LDS Mission in the Missouri/Arkansas area. December 10, 1931, the day he returned from his mission, he married his sweetheart Sarah Horrocks in the Salt Lake Temple. Lyle and Sarah were married for 75 years and were blessed with 4 wonderful children. Lyle was a farmer and also a barber. He retired as a barber at the young age of 85. Lyle was an avid poet and storyteller. He entertained all with stories, riddles and poems. He is survived by his children, Veral Glines, Shirley Cameron, Lowell Glines and Charles Ray Glines; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 18 great-great grandchildren. Lyle is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sisters and wife Sarah. Our sincere thanks to Dr. Danesh Rahimi and the staff at Millcreek Home Health and Hospice. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 27, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at the Jordan River 10th Ward Chapel located at 1570 West 11400 South, South Jordan, Utah where a viewing will be held, 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. There will also be a viewing in Vernal on Saturday, September 28, 2013, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the Maeser 7th Ward, located at 2745 West 1000 North prior to the interment at Rock Point Cemetery.
