Lynnette Pieros

Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Lynnette Kaye Rasmussen Pieros passed away December 2, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Lynn was born May 7, 1941, in Salt Lake City, the third daughter of James Albert and Ivy Lillian Wiggins Rasmussen. She attended school in Salt Lake City and graduated from West High in 1959. She married her sweetheart Jimmy Edward Pieros on July 27, 1962, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

She raised her family in the Rose Park area, where she was active in the PTA and LDS Church. She served as PTA President at Newman elementary school, and she also served faithfully in many church callings. Among them were callings in Relief Society, Young Women's, Sunday school and as second counselor in the Primary presidency. She volunteered at Newman elementary school where she helped many first graders polish their reading skills.

Lynn was employed as a receptionist at Argus Optical for 11 years. She then worked as a receptionist at Intermountain Salt Lake Clinic in the Ophthalmology department, and later in the OB/GYN department. She retired in 2004.

Lynn enjoyed time spent with her family, her grandchildren, baking, morning walks, reading a good book and trips to the Oregon Coast.

She is survived by her children, Terri Pieros, Rick (Heidi) Pieros and Traci Lomax.  Five grandchildren, John, Christopher, Tyler, Hailey and Ivy; great-grandchildren, Faye, Vincent, Jasmine and Jaxon; sister Nola Sanford. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by her husband, parents and sisters, Rosemarie Anderson and Joyce Hayes.

A viewing will be held Sunday, December 10, 2023, 6-8:00 p.m., McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Monday, December 11, 2023 10:11:00 a.m..

Graveside service will follow, 11:30 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road.
