Mack Neil Forbush passed away at his home in Taylorsville, Utah on Sunday, June 28, 2015 of causes incident to age. Mack was born to Melvin Alonzo and Vonda Tanner Forbush on August 22, 1935 in Salina, Utah. When he was 7, the family moved to Orem, Utah where he grew up on a farm and learned the value of hard work. He graduated from American Fork High School in 1953, and worked various jobs, including heavy equipment in the construction industry. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in 1954-57, mostly in Germany. He writes and speaks the German Language, as well as other languages. Mack served in the Swiss-German Austrian Mission in 1957-60. Married Connie Quarnberg on March 23, 1961, in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of four children. Mack had a successful career as a civilian with the U.S. Government as a commanding Logistics officer and many positions of Leadership and responsibility. His top performance brough him many awards and letters of commendation, and took him all over the world. He often worked several jobs, and put in many long tiring hours to provide for his family. Mack was an active member of the LDS church his entire life, serving as a Scoutmaster for over 17 years. He helped numerous boys attain the rank of Eagle Scout. He was an influence for good in the lives of many young men. He also served in several other positions, and was always doing good for other people. Mack is survived by his wife, Connie; son Rodney; daughters Barbara Pell, Pauline Hickam; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; daughter Ruth (Nyoul) Tang, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. He will be missed by many. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville Utah Central Stake, 4950 South 1950 West. Viewings will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2015, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Thursday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road.
