On Thursday, January 31, 2019, Manuel B. Garcia, loving son, brother, uncle, father, and grandfather passed away at age 50.
Manuel was born on June 3, 1968 in Nogales, Mexico. He grew up in Eloy, Arizona and Salt Lake City, Utah. Manuel was born with chronic kidney disease. It was at age 18 when he began to receive Dialysis. His outlook on life was great despite being in and out of the hospital several times.
He enjoyed being around family, making jokes, and always had everyone in tears with laughter. He would say that life was about laughter, that we needed to laugh and enjoy ourselves. That’s what would prolong life; that was his medicine for life.
He was an avid music lover, enjoyed watching movies, puzzles, any mind games and eating out. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Manuel was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins.
He is survived by his father Manuel; mother Ramona; brothers Juan & Ramon (Aurora); sisters Luz (Manuel), Delia (Juan) and Lydia (Martin); children Stephen, Danny, Adrian, Elicia, and Ramona; granddaughter Leahlina; daughter-in-laws; several nieces; nephews; uncles; aunts; cousins and friends.
Funeral services in memory of Manuel, will be held Friday, February 8, 2019 at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah 84123. A viewing will begin at 4:00 p.m.
