Maradon Hall Anderson

July 25, 1937 — January 8, 2022

Our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend peacefully returned to her Father in Heaven on Saturday, January 8, 2022, in South Jordan, Utah and was reunited with her parents, daughter, friends and family.

Maradon was born July 25, 1937 in Wellsville, Cache County Utah, to David Nuttall Hall and Gladys Eliza Steffenhagen. She graduated from Sunnyside High School in Sunnyside, Washington. She later graduated from LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah in the field of secretary-stenographer, with most of her joy coming from serving her family as a homemaker. Maradon married her sweetheart Calvin Eddie Anderson on August 17, 1956 in Salt Lake City, in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) where she served in many callings across all organizations of the church. She and her husband served an LDS mission together in Independence, Missouri from June 2002 to December 2003. She also enjoyed her time serving with her husband in both the Jordan River Temple and Oquirrh Mountain Temple for 18 years.

She is survived by her loving husband Cal; children, Mike (Vernette) Anderson, Paula (Galen) Dale, Kirk (Janet) Anderson, Shanna (Curtis) Dodge, Lori (Alex) Haws; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and her brother Deevon Hall.

Maradon was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tamara; brothers, Larry and Jay; and sister, Gloria.

Maradon loved to travel with family and friends. She and Cal visited many countries throughout the world, set sail on a dozen cruises, and traveled through many of the U.S. states. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Carrington Court Assisted Living and Active Home Health and Hospice for their considerate and loving care for Maradon over the past few months.

Services will be held, Saturday, January 15, 2022, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah 84123. Viewing will be from 10:00am until 11:00am, followed by a short program. Interment to be at Valley View Memorial Park, West Valley City, Utah.
