Marcia Nichols Peay

October 3, 1939 — July 14, 2015

Marcia Nichols Peay passed from this life to the next on July 14, 2015 with loved ones by her side, after a courageous 10-year battle with lymphoma. She was born on October 3,1939, in Murray, Utah to Reed and June Nichols. She married her eternal sweetheart, Keith W. Peay and together they raised 5 children. Marcia was a loving wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, and a faithful servant of Jesus Christ. She was a dear and loyal friend to many. Marcia originally worked as a flight attendant but made her life-long career as a loving mom and grandma. She continually put the needs of others before her own. As a member of the LDS Church, she served in many callings, especially in the Relief Society. Marcia was a strong woman. She suffered much physical pain throughout her life; first with polio as a child and then, with lymphoma. Through it all, she never complained and silently suffered to not cause worry. Despite her trials, she felt the Lord blessed her with a wonderful life! Marcia is survived by her children, Kim (Rick) Olson, Stefanie (Scott) Tycksen, Jenifer Vallejos, Melissa (David) Farrer, Ryan Peay; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Pam (Peter) Stevens and Ellen (Richard) Scott. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; grandson, Cody Olson; son-in-law, Ken Vallejos; and great-grandson, Gage Olson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 20, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at the Midvale East 4th Ward, 87 East 7100 South.
