Marcia Beth Srogus passed away May 4, 2015. Born September 9, 1943 to Jay R. and Beth K. Brown Thueson in Twin Falls, Idaho. She graduated from Twin Falls High School, was a proud BYU alumni, with a degree in Elementary Education and Library Science. Marcia married Charles A. Srogus III November 26, 1968 in San Jose, California; later sealed in the Oakland California Temple. She was able to share her love of books with the children she taught as a librarian at Emerson Elementary in Salt Lake City. She was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing, embroidering, indexing family history and spending time in Yellowstone National Park with all of her family. Marcia had a deep love for all animals. She will be remembered for always being positive and enjoying humor in life. Marcia is survived by her husband Charles; son Nick (Julie) Srogus; 3 beloved grandchildren Riley, Ellie and Ryan; siblings Jay R. (Barbara) Thueson, Karla (Tom) Nix, Kenneth (Elaine) Thueson and Jennie Thueson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville 16th Ward, 3495 West 4850 South where a viewing will be held, 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Perpetual Education Fund or Best Friends Animal Society at bestfriends.org.
