Margaret Jane Smith McQuaid Together Again Magna, UT - Mom passed away on September 16, 2012. She was born on August 16, 1921 in Midvale, Utah to Thomas Smith and Margaret Jones Smith. She married William R. Bill McQuaid on August 17, 1945. Bill passed away on March 17, 2001, and she has missed him every day since then. Mom was a member of the LDS Church. She was a primary teacher, a Relief Society visiting teacher and a work director. Mom enjoyed sewing, needlepoint and working in her yard. She loved to make cookies with her grandchildren and enjoyed lunch with the girls club. Her home and family were always the most important things to her. She is survived by her three children: son, Kelly (Lynn) McQuaid; daughters, Margo Bathelt (Daniel Hackley), Ginger (Jeff) Beck; nine grandchildren: Che (Chivae) Bathelt, Sheena (Cody) Winget, Ian Bathelt, Kelly (Lisa) Beck, Emily (Matthew) Adams, Bret (Kris) Sewell, Krista Sewell, Kelli Holt, Rory McQuaid; 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Douglas Smith; sisters, Jeane Humphries and Janice (Barry) Fisher. Mom was preceded in death by her husband; parents; step-father, Jimmie Duke; sister, Lola Duke. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 20, 2012, 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Viewings will be Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery. Hobbies:Sewing, Needlepoint and working in the yard; Making cookies with the grandchildren and being with family.Occupation:Homemaker
