Marguerite Myer Rickett

Marguerite M. Rickett 1925 ~ 2011 Marguerite Myer Rickett, our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, returned home to our Heavenly Father December 26, 2011. Marguerite was the daughter of Percy Myer and Martha McPherson, born March 19, 1925 in Ozone Park, Queens, New York. She married her first love and eternal companion, S. Bryant Rickett during the 2nd World War in 1944. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 1953. Together they had 7 children. Our mother served in many callings in the LDS Church in the Primary and Relief Society. She dearly loved her husband, her Heavenly Father and served them faithfully all her life. She loved the earth in all it s beauty and loved to garden and grow her own fruits and vegetables. She believed in eating pure unprocessed foods. She especially loved the family farm up in Northeast Pennsylvania and it s natural, wooded pure environment and all the wonderful experiences she had there as a child and through her life. In 1967 the family moved to the Chicago area and then returned to Milford, PA in 1988 to enjoy their retirement. Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by her 7 children: Christopher (Sandra) Rickett, Mary (Kenn) Ellis, Lucy Rickett, Jaes Seis, William (Rosanne) Rickett, Ruth Ann (David) Scott and Michael Rickett; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard, Robert and Peter Myer. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 30, 2011, 12:00 noon at the Lighthouse Chapel, 3900 South 4000 West, WVC, UT where a viewing will be held, 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will take place in Milford, Pennsylvania. Occupation:Licensed Pracital Nurse
