Maria Berloth Newman

Maria B. Newman, age 81, of Kearns, passed away at her home, of natural causes, Oct. 20, 2016. She was born June 6, 1935, in The Hauge, Holland, to Cornelius and Sara Jane Berloth. On Sept. 27, 1955, she married Glenn Newman in Salt Lake City. She was a tailor at ZCMI. Her hobbies included playing bingo, fishing, and gambling in Wendover, Nev. She is survived by her son, Robert; daughter, Debra; brother, Frank (Joanne) Berloth; grandchildren; an great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, Ronald. A viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road, in Taylorsville.
