Marian Elaine Nelson Faux, 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep of natural causes on Sunday May 3, 2015 in West Valley City, Utah. She was the third of four children born to Joseph Einer Nelson and Marie Hales Nelson on February 1, 1924 in Spanish Fork, Utah. She grew up and attended school in Spanish Fork, Utah. After graduating from Spanish Fork High School, she attended Brigham Young University. She worked at the Bank of Spanish Fork before her marriage. After raising her children, she was proud of the fact she re-entered the work force and enjoyed her work. On September 3, 1946 she married Neal D. Faux. They are the parents of three children. Marian and Neal were sealed with their children in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on September 3, 1957. Marian was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many callings in the Primary and Relief Society. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a good friend to many. Marian was known for her sense of style and good taste. She had an infectious sense of humor and was the delight of her friends and family with her many entertaining stories and observations. She loved music, especially when performed by her children and grandchildren. Marian had an exceptional memory and was often consulted regarding family history and genealogy. She is survived by her sons: Nelson (Deborah) and Scott (Roxann); 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; children-in-law: Bruce (Marylee) Call, and Shirley Faux. Preceded in death by her husband, Neal D. Faux; daughter Barbara Call; parents; brothers Sterling (EvaJean), and Joseph (Phyllis); sister Thelma; grandson Christian Faux; and great-granddaughter Adalaide Faux. Funeral services will be held Saturday May 9, 2015, 12:00 noon at the Taylorsville 4th Ward Chapel 4310 South 3200 West. Those wishing to show their respect to Marian and her family are invited to the Chapel one hour prior to the services. The casket will be closed, honoring Marian's request.
