Marianne Ross

April 8, 1932 — July 23, 2017

Our loving aunt, Marianne Ross, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 23, 2017. She was born April 8, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Grace Harden and Edward Lowe Ross. She was the oldest of three sisters. She grew up and attended schools in Salt Lake. After graduating from East High School in 1949, she continued her education at the University of Utah receiving a Bachelors in 1964 and Masters of Education in 1973. She taught first grade in Jordan School District for 32 years. She was a faithful member of the LDS church serving missions at New England in 1955, the CES mission at the SLCC Institute of Religion and various other church callings. She also enjoyed visits to many different temples. She was very devoted to her family, especially the care of her mother, her friends and her pets. She is survived by nephews David Loveless, Douglas (Annette) Loveless; nieces Cindy (James) Dickson, Margo (Geoff) Gabbott, and Maria Anne; and many great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Nancy Ellen, Bonnie Clare Peterson; nephews Dirk Loveless, Dee Loveless; great-nephew Gerald Loveless. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 31, 2017, 11:00 a.m., at Taylorsville Garden 1st Ward, 4252 S. Bennion Rd. Friends may call Sunday, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road, and prior to services on Monday from 10-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
