Marie Herbert Vosgerau

Marie Herbert Vosgerau July 6, 1930 ~ December 9, 2012 Our much-loved mother left this world to continue her journey on December 9, 2012. Her optimism defined who she was. Her strong beliefs, faith and positivity saw her through life. She felt rich beyond measure and was grateful for all she had. She was proud of each of her 7 children and was devoted to her husband, the love of her life for 40 years. Mom was an artist, poet and songwriter, with over 50 songs published. She was strong, hardworking, independent and funny! She had a kind heart and gave of herself to those in need. She loved the sunshine, doing laundry and Chinese food. Mom s trademark was always wearing high heel shoes, even while pulling weeds. She was an inspiration, because she knew how to live. She s now with Angels and her beloved sister, Joey, writing beautiful songs. We love and miss you, Mom! Survived by her husband, Heinz T. Vosgerau; children, Robert (Janet), Kris (Janette) Lane (April), Lezlee (Jeff), Troylin, Brian (Michelle), Heidi (Lindsay); stepson, Jack (Cindy); sister-in-law, Leni; 3 brothers, 2 sisters; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she loved. Preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters, 2 brothers, and 2 grandchildren. An open house celebrating Marie s life will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012, 12-4 p.m. at the Vosgerau residence, 1489 West 300 South, Salt Lake City.
