Marilyn Griffin Brant, age 79, passed away on June 30, 2022, in Murray, Utah. She was born on October 31, 1942, in Escalante, Utah to Vernon and Hazel Griffin. She married Richard Charles Brant on September 21, 1961.
Marilyn loved to write stories and poems. She also loved to make others laugh and always had a joke ready to share with anyone she met whether she was at the doctor’s office or the grocery store. She enjoyed reading, crafts, cooking, and spending time with family. In her younger years she was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and greatly enjoyed the friends she made in that organization. She was devoted to her family and adored her grandchildren. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Richard Brant; her children, Michael (Celeste) Brant, Amy (John) Lovato; her grandchildren, Zachary Brant, Benjamin Brant and Elijah Lovato; and her siblings Sharon Griffin and Alan Griffin.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her son, David Brant; daughter-in-law, Tammie Brant; parents, Vernon and Hazel Griffin; and her siblings, Richard Griffin, Raymond Griffin, Carolyn Eyre, Shona Daniels and Mable Seegmiller.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30am on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 17111 South Camp Williams Rd., Bluffdale, UT. A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held following the interment at the Sunrise Chapel Building, 8160 (17800 South Camp Williams Rd., Bluffdale, UT).
