Our beloved Marilyn Carling Brown passed away on August 30, 2020 in her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Marilyn was born to Genevieve and Ottis George Carling on February 27, 1933. She attended and graduated Provo High School in 1953. She worked at Woolworths as she waited for the love of her life to return home from the Korean War, Ralph Roland Brown, whom she married May 15, 1953. She then worked for Western Airlines before becoming a homemaker and mother to three wonderful children Steven (Kimberly), Craig, Karen (Steven). She then returned to work after they graduated and moved on to college. She went to work for Granite School District as a secretary for the resource department.
Finally retiring to enjoy time with her husband and her 23 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Ralph; and her parents Genevieve and Ottis.
A graveside service is being held Friday, September 4, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery at 3131 Bengal Blvd Cottonwood Heights. Due to Covid-19 there will not be a reception afterwards.
