Marilyn passed away at 2:26 am April 12, 2024. She was born in Alberta Canada but became a permanent resident of the United States. For the majority of the time, she lived in the United States.
Marilyn was 82 years old when she died. She was blessed with an extraordinary life, and like most members of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, her priorities in life were:
1) Her personal testimony of her Heavenly Father and his Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ never wavered, and she endured to the end. In her life she served 24 years in the primary and more than 26 years in the young women's organization in the church. She held every teaching position in the church and held leadership callings.
2) Her family was her masterpiece! Her husband Wm. Palmer Hyde and identical twins, Tamra Hyde Ashcroft and Sondra Hyde Parker, plus six grandchildren and six great grandchildren, were her pride and joy! Her marriage to Palmer began in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple in June 1966, and lasted over 57 years.
3) For the last 50+ years her job as a travel agent, then as a tour operator, was exceptionally well done. She designed and booked hundreds of tours. Each new tour was her favorite! The entire US, Canada, and Europe. She loved our church history tours, mystery tours, and cruises worldwide. Marilyn really wanted to go on one last cruise. Ninety-five cruises were one less than she really wanted. For all the hundreds who traveled with us on Hyde's Encore Tours and Travel and later Hyde's Tours, she wanted to thank you for your trust in her. Marilyn has now embarked on the greatest Mystery Tour of all.
"Dear Family and Friends, I look forward to the day you finish your 2nd Estate and join with me on our eternal quest back to Father in Heaven."
